Do you know someone born and raised in Louisiana with no southern accent? We do.
Gene Theriot, a former Navy rescue swimmer/instructor and naval aviator, joined AVIAN five years ago to support Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) One. Using the Joint Mission Planning System, Gene evaluates up to seven different platforms at a time to ensure proper functionality of aircraft software systems.
“I create reports that influence decisions for the fleet,” Theriot said. “I never thought I’d have this type of impact, or the ability to leave my mark on the Navy in this way.”
During the work-week, Gene shares lunch out on the town with fellow AVIAN employee and best bud, Kendell Smith.
Gene is a father of two and the jokester of his family. When he’s not cracking jokes, he enjoys hiking and camping and other outdoor activities in the Shenandoah Mountains.
Despite what you may have heard woodworking is not one of Gene’s top hobbies. He just happens to be very good at it.
